Portrait of a WCA Graduate

Graduates of WCA, in obedience to The Greatest Commandment in Mark 12:30, strive to love the Lord their God with all their heart, and with all their soul, and with all their mind, and with all their strength:

Love God with All Their Heart

A WCA graduate wholeheartedly follows Jesus.

As disciples of Christ, WCA students know and live out the Gospel, living out Christian virtues as a response to God’s love. They have a hope in God’s redemptive and strive to be part of this work. As John Milton wrote, "The end then of learning is to repair the ruins of our first parents by regaining to know God aright, and out of that knowledge to love him, to imitate him, to be like him."

Love God with All Their Soul

A WCA graduate seeks out beauty and excellence.

When WCA students cultivate a sense of worshipful wonder through their studies, they will naturally be inclined to examine and think about what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8) They find wisdom in the counsel of their mentors, their families, and their community.

Love God with All Their Mind

A WCA graduate learns faithfully and joyfully.

WCA students develop the tools to learn any subject, becoming lifelong learners. They have a teachable spirit and can reason well, then use that sound logic to write and speak eloquently. Graduates of WCA willingly use their intellectual gifts and talents, not with the goal of acquiring facts, but discovering and applying God’s truth, knowing that from Him comes all knowledge and understanding (Prov. 2:6).

Love God with All Their Strength

A WCA graduate sacrificially serves others.

Developing the whole person, WCA students discover and use their gifts to serve the Church and their community. They channel their energy and passions to building others up and follow God’s calling on their lives to be world changers. WCA house patron Corrie Ten Boom said "The life of a Christian is an education for a higher service. God is training you for something."
